A Wedding & A Dub

The Wedding

October 2016 I married my true soulmate, I would include some photos of him but he doesn’t want his face shown, so you’ll have to cope with photos of me instead. Our wedding was at the Balmer Lawn Hotel in Hampshire, a lovely place with a fantastic restaurant and spa, they’re also dog friendly, here’s the link if you want a look: https://www.balmerlawnhotel.com/

If you like the wedding photos, check out our amazing photographer. They also offer discount to those in the emergency services: http://www.wowphotography.co.uk

The Dub

What is a dub I hear you ask, well it’s a shorter version of VDub or VeeDub. Nope, still don’t know, what is a dub? A dub aka VDub means VW = pronounce the Vee doubleyou = shortened to Dub.

So yup, we have a VW. Not just any Dub though, a converted VW ‘94 T4. How did the dub come about? Well, we tried camping in a tent but that didn’t work out too well for our dog Charlie. He chewed two guide ropes, couldn’t understand that he had to lift legs up to walk in and out of the tent and so would fall in and out instead. Incredibly jumpy at night time because he could hear everything and so hardly slept as he was on alert all the time – this made for a very grumpy dog and much like a grumpy two year old…. it’s not the best fun we’ve ever had.

We also have a friend who has a T4 and showed us hers, Thor the T4. We were sold and instead of wedding gifts, asked our wedding guests to help contribute via a little poem.

After much searching and a lot of impatience we finally found a T4 in November 2016 – an unnamed T4. The shock! We discovered that all dubs should be named and sexed, and after a drive I decided it was a he and promptly named him Snoopy as he is black and white (actually his top half is a very dark sparkling purple in the sunlight which we later discovered).

Expect to see a few blogs on Snoopy and dublife in the future.
